When I first met Andy, I had just lost my mother and I was on the edge of loosing my only son. He came recommended by my sister, who had worked with him temporarily. I was clueless of what to do next. The only thing that I knew for sure was that I had a God that loved me and that He would never leave me nor forsake me. My life was pretty black at that first meeting. I was the mother who kept telling him, Andy, that he was going to be the stone that knocked off Goliath’s head. I don’t know if he understood my description of the situation, but he never for one second fear or doubted my faith.
All Andy knew was that we needed a supernatural miracle, and he was ready and very able to be part of it. It was 16 months of pure agony, doubts from everybody else, except me. Andy was NOT giving up on me, or the case. I am sure there were times that he wondered what he had got himself into when I called him in the middle of the night, or on the weekend just to cry and scream on the phone. It took a lot for him not to give up. Andrew chose to believe in the case. We had everything to loose and my son’s life to gain. We walked out of that courtroom with the freedom that God created us to have. All I heard was, “NOT GUILTY, NOT GUILTY, NOT GUILTY, NOT GUILTY.” I recommend Andrew Gay, Jr. as a lawyer, human being, professional, humble, knowledgeable, genius, listener, and most important than all, a man that understands a mother.
